- Ullage or wine level If the wine is not in
the neck of the bottle (or at the original fill level) there is an increased

- Condition of stock on offer
HappyVines.com will not knowingly list spoilt stock. The cellars of
major vendors are usually inspected to ensure cellaring conditions were
suitable.
- Bidding per lot Please note all lots are
being offered on a per lot basis, unless specified.
- Price Estimates Certain lots carry a price
estimate range. This range aims to accurately "estimate" the value
of a lot. The estimate does not reflect the reserve price. Many estimated
lots are unreserved.
- Buyers & Sellers Premium A buyers &
sellers premium of 8% applies
to all lots sold in this sale, subject to a minimum of S$30.00 per lot.
- Collection Successful bidders will be
notified via e-mail, by HappyVines.com. All stock must be collected and paid
by the Friday of the week following the e-mail advice or a 2% levy will apply.
HappyVines.com can arrange delivery to bidders that cannot call by the
required time.
- Current Delivery Charges The current delivery charge, per location,
is $30.00 for the first 5 cases, then $3.00 for every case, thereafter. Cases of
12btls or 06 btls or less are treated as one case. These charges are applicable except
otherwise mentioned in our offers. No charges for self-collection from Block 21,
Dover Crescent, Unit: 04-348, Singapore 130021.
- Insurance A successful bidder is to arrange
his own insurance, at this time.
- Conditions of Sale Please take time to
familiarise yourself with our "Conditions of Sale" (below) before
participating in this auction
- Negotiation of unsold lots If no interest is
shown a particular lot may be passed over during the auction, at the
Auctioneers discretion. Any buyer participating in the auction process may
negotiate with the Auctioneer on the following day by fax or by telephone on
the Monday following the auction.
- Underbidders option Lots failing to reach
reserve will, at the Auctioneers discretion, be referred to the underbidder
for first refusal please fax our office if this applies to you on the Friday
following the end of the auction.
Conditions of Sale
- Each bidder shall complete ALL the details of the "WINE
BID" online form
- The highest bidder is to be the buyer and if any dispute arises as to
any bidding the lots in dispute shall be immediately put up for sale at
the last undisputed bid, or the dispute may be settled by the Auctioneer.
- The Auctioneer may, without the need to explain, refuse to accept the
bids of any person or persons.
- The seller may bid for any lot or lots, and may withdraw any lot or
lots, either personally or through the Auctioneer or any other person, as
many times as they think fit.
- On acceptance of a bid, the buyer of each lot will be promptly advised
via e-mail or other means. Full payment via CASH or CHEQUE, must be made
upon delivery & presentation of the invoice. If any buyer fails to
comply with any of these terms the lot or lots in respect of which such a
failure is made may, at the auctioneers discretion, be put up again and
resold and the defaulters bids shall not taken again during the sale. Upon
resale a lower price is obtained for any such lots than was obtained on
the first sale, the difference in price shall be a debt due from the buyer
in default upon the first sale.
- All lots are sold as they are and a sale shall not be invalidated by
reason of any defect or faults in any of the lots by reason of any lots
being incorrectly described in the catalogue or elsewhere or missing parts
or quantities, and neither the sellers nor the Auctioneer shall pay
compensation in respect of any faults or errors of description, parts or
quantities.
- Each lot shall be at the buyers risk from the fall of the hammer. The
buyer shall only be entitled to take delivery of the goods when all cheque
payments have been cleared by the auctioneer' bank. The seller and the
Auctioneer reserve the right to restrict access to the lot prior to
payment in full. Title to the goods shall not pass to the buyer until all
payments are cleared by the Auctioneers bank.
- Stock paid for but not delivered or collected within 30 days of the
auction will be stored and an appropriate storage and insurance fee will
be applied.
- Wherever applicable the buyer shall pay tax on any lot.
- The buyer is wholly responsible for any damage to the property or injury
to persons incurred during the removal of a lot or lots purchased,
including damage or injury caused by their agents or employees.
- Upon failure to comply with the above terms, any monies received in
payment shall be forfeited to the owner of the lot, he paying therefrom
all expenses and the lot shall be resold by public or private sale and the
deficiency, if any, arising upon the resale together with the expenses
shall be made good by the defaulter at this sale.
- Time shall be of the essence in the sale of any lot.
- Terms are strictly CASH or CHEQUE upon delivery & presentation of
the invoice. Personal cheques generally acceptable.
